Tambo Blanquillo Lodge is located outside the Manu National Park, a two and a half hour downriver trip using a motorized canoe from Boca Manu landing strip. The lodge is made of ecological wood gathered from river beds and not from logging activities. Its design is based on native houses of the area; with palm thatched roofs and beaten palm bark floors.
40 comfortable full size beds with mosquito netting divided in 16 rooms, each with its own mosquito screening. Each bed is separated by a bamboo wall, which provides adequate privacy and security. Lavatories, showers and toilets are within the complex to avoid unpleasant outdoor trips through the jungle at the middle of the night.
A fixed menu consists of breakfast, lunch and dinner
with delicious Peruvian dishes, served in this fully screened facility,
adjacent to the dormitory area. There is plenty of boiled drinking water available as well as cold beverages and beer. Special dietary requirements could be offer prior advice. |
