After a 15-minute walk from our lodge and through a virgin terra firme forest, we arrive to this famous lake of pristine waters where we will aboard a catamaran. On the trail is common to encounter 6 species of primates: the white fronted and brown Capuchin, the Howler, the Spider, the Squirrel and the rare Emperor Monkey. Also, birds like the horned screamer Camungo, the bizarre leaf-eating Hoatzins, Tiger Herons and a family of giant river otters use this lake as their habitat. In addition, the Kapok Canopy Tower and the Mammal Clay Lick are just minutes away from this lake.ß |
